So, the passing of another year, in this case from 2022 to 2023, is always a point in time to reflect on the past year, and to think about the coming year.
To think about our hopes and fears.
To think about our plans and goals, and what we want to achieve.
To think about what we want to start doing, and also what we want to stop doing.
To think about what we want to change.
To think about our place in the world.
Of course, we will all be starting from a different position, and our answers to the questions above will also be different. So will our ability to achieve these things.
Merely thinking about these questions can lead to enlightenment and a sense of purpose and focus.
BUT, real achievement comes from converting IDEAS INTO ACTION.
I believe that NOW is the time for action, and I am hoping that establishing this new Blog will be a way to document my thoughts, ideas, interests and views.
Some of these Blog posts will be extensions of posts made on Twitter, and may be related to politics and other news items, sport, entertainment, pretty much anything really.
Posts will be written in a mainly ‘Twitter Style’, quickly but not intended to be exhaustive or academic arguments, that’s available elsewhere. They will be a snapshot of what I think NOW.
There will be some serious stuff, but also some fun stuff.
Hopefully at least some people may find it interesting, and maybe some may find it useful. We shall see.
So, for now, let’s start thinking, let’s start taking action and LET’S TALK.
